Position Summary: The Estimator is responsible for putting project bids together by gathering equipment quotes from manufacturer representatives and outside vendors and entering the collected information into quoting software to put together a bid package.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review and research bid documentation on prospective kitchen opportunities in Arizona and throughout the region. With an emphasis on regional expansion.
- Review all documents for the bid opportunity including, but not limited to, construction drawings, written specifications, Addendums, RFI’s, special requirements, etc.
- Seek out quotes from installation vendors for out of town installations from multiple vendors where applicable.
- Answer all incoming questions on bid projects from vendors, equipment manufacturers and manufacturer representatives.
- Develop relationships with customers (mainly GC’s) and promote strong, reliable and timely customer service.
- Gather and enter preliminary pricing information into AutoQuotes and review for accuracy.
- Monitor Dodge and other sources for new bid opportunities.
- Understand contract terms and conditions and gather data to estimate time requirements, labor, and material costs.
- Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and project bids for contractors in a timely manner. This includes preparing bid cover letters when needed and sometimes submitting bids on contractor required forms.
- Support the Vice President in chasing after new opportunities and projects.

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Experience with AutoQuotes preferred (not required).
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment preferred (not required).
- Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications preferred (not required).
- Ability to learn new programs as needed.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
Position type/expected work hours:
This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM with a one-hour lunch break.
